Step City

Step City was the name of a game made during an independent study headed my Professor Gregory Walsh at the University of Baltimore. I worked on the project as both a designer and programmer along with two other students to design and create a game that utilized the fitbit and it’s api to help people exercise more. The game was programmed in php and mysql, and entire was project was wrapped up by a video show casing our entire process. Additionally more then 100 people participated in using the app/game when we finally stopped working on it after 3-4 months. I want to further clarify that I decided to participate in the study as a way to learn more about programming but also so I could stay productive during the summer. The first video goes over our design process and is headed by the mentioned two additional students, while the second video is primarily me going over the game.
